I'm disappointed by the lack of comments on my new look. A person's birthday happens every year. A makeover like this happens once in a lifetime! (Or never!)

I had extensive surgery. The process was grueling - sixteen hours under the knife and three and a half weeks recovery. It will be another four to five months before I can be in direct sunlight.

Yes! I had face implants, dermabrasion, and botox injections.

Forehead lift. Hair replacement.

Ear removal.

Nose surgery and pigmentation (The swelling still hasn't completely subsided there).

Every imperfection is gone! This is all in preparation for my new career as a fashion model.

The surgeon was a real artist. Notice how there are no wrinkles around my mouth as I pout for this sexy portfolio shot. No wrinkles around the eyes, either. My surgeon implemented a brilliant new technique that he just invented - that of actually removing the eyelids! (Thanks, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew!)

Dr. Honeydew says he is so impressed by my dedication. (What a flatterer, huh?) He suggested that we might try an experiment to alter my voice to make it more musical. He is absolutely certain of success. Afterwards, I will only be capable of making utterance to the most beautiful, musical sound ... "Meep!" It's a big step, but, I am devoted to my art.

And you know, if I want another career change later on, Dr. Honeydew explained that he can always use a good guinea pi-, er, assistant!

wow three and a half weeks recovery?

you had the surgery a long time ago eh? or are you still in recovery and the photo shot is what they anticipate your appearance to be? i just saw you a couple of days ago so i know it couldn't have been that long ago...

and as for how your appearance has changed, you will be more liked by your kids i'm sure.

It sounds like you went to a lot of trouble.

I thought the change was motivated because you only own one T-shirt, and you're wearing it in every photo. Wouldn't it have been easier just to pick something up at Walmart?

Or get some software that would enable you to alter the T-shirt in your photos?

Not that I don't like the look. I'm sure people will take you more seriously, with the lab coat and all.

Happy birthday!

I don't know why the link in my comment above doesn't work. I checked and checked and I'm sure I did it right. For some reason when I post the comment, the link is changed to so that it just comes right back here. The URL for the article that inspired me to write this article is:

Anyone who's interested can cut-and-paste it. It's funny.
