Countdown

Well friends (if anyone's still reading),

I wish I had found more time to write lately. There's been no shortage of things to write about; i just haven't had the time.

I'm packing up the computer and I don't know when I'll be able to resume blogging. There's just so much to do.

What we've done, basically, is tear down our lives in order to build new ones in Delaware - or wherever we end up ... could be Maryland or Pennsylvania.

I'm currently unemployed. They had a great going-away party for me at work. That was touching. I'll have no shortage of good references, anyway.

My parents are arriving at the Lafayette airport around 4 this afternoon. Tomorrow we pick up the moving truck and load it. Wednesday morning we start driving. We will arrive Friday afternoon at the home of my in-laws, which will be our home until we can make better arrangements.

It's all about family and the ones we love. Life is good. Fresh starts are good. We'll miss the ones we leave behind.

Wish us luck, friends. We'll "see" you after we get settled.

Good luck with your relocation. It could turn out to be a great adventure and I look forward to hearing about it when you get back online.

Travel safely.

It's been a while, but good luck. Hope you're back to blogging soon. I've updated your link on my page--I had the wrong one up forever (pointing to comments on that religion discussion, I don't know why it didn't ring a bell before). Anyway, I linked to the main page now.

Looks like you still have lots of readers, Snaars.

Keep moving north; eventually you'll be neighbours of Mary P. and me. (And you'll have to learn to spell properly, like "neighbour" with a "u".)

Thank you all for the well-wishing. I want you all to know that I and my family have arrived safely.

Mary P., the move did not go smoothly at all. It has been quite an experience, mostly harrowing. Still, it's good to be with more of the ones we love dearly.

Flaurella, thanks for stopping in. I wish I had more time to write at the moment, but I don't have my own internet connection right now, an there's a lot of business for me to conduct, so I won't be writing any more for a while ... I'm going to estimate 2 to 3 weeks. I hope you will stop in again.

I should have lots to say, but I haven't been taking notes. If I write about the trip it will probably be to complain.

Mister Hand, glad to know you were impressed enough to keep hanging around. I have visited your site a few times. How is the book deal going?

Q, I haven't checked the ol' atlas but I think I halved the distance. Maybe after we get settled in you and Mary P. could make up the difference? I brought a ilttle bit of New Orleans with me ... that might be the closest you get to visiting there for a while.

Patrick, thanks for the comment. I still visit your blog. It's one of the best I've seen.

Job hunt starts in the morning. Wish me luck!

so thats it, he leaves us with a "the move did not go smoothly at all. It has been quite an experience, mostly harrowing". Damnit, I want to know what happened to all the stuff I helped load onto the truck. What was harrowing about it? What happened? Dont leave us in suspense. You and Ronnie only tease us.
